Teaching Assistant
Hours - Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4pm (Must be available fully for the hours stated, although hours vary.
Pupil Age Group – From EYFS to KS2 (Nursery to Year 6)
Pay – From £75 to £82, per day (depending on level of experience and qualifications)
Teaching Personnel are working closely with schools across the Harlesden area, we are looking to find teaching assistants with a can-do attitude who are ready to make a difference in the classroom. We at teaching personnel are looking to find enthusiastic and experienced teaching assistants to place in one of the fantastic schools we work closely with in Brent, including some really warm and supportive Catholic faith schools.
We are looking for hard-working and eager educators to work in classes across the primary age groups (Nursery to Year 6) focusing on supporting the Class Teacher to help create an encouraging and supportive classroom. We are also prioritising teaching assistants who are experienced working 1-2-1 with pupils who have issues with behaviour, communication, autism, etc.
We are looking for someone:
• With experience of working and supporting children in a school setting
• Wants to work with children who are facing difficulties early in their education, passionate about making a difference
• Happy to work across Brent for short term work, and for those looking to find long term work we will need flexibility – willing to trial at schools to secure the long term position
We want people who are interesting in creating a calm, friendly atmosphere, contributing to making the schools they work in a warm and welcoming place where pupils can achieve their goals and learn key life skills. The Catholic schools we work with across Wembley, Harrow and Brent help to provide rewarding and motivating settings for our teaching assistants to give the best support they can, with the faith schools giving great support and facilities to their pupils.
Essential criteria: Teaching background, or experience working with children/young people in early education, DBS (child work-force only) signed up to the update service.
Desirable criteria: Mental health awareness training, Special Needs experience, Team Teach or positive handling training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
