KS2 Teaching Assistant – January 2025 Start
Location: East Grinstead
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: Competitive (based on experience)
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking an exciting opportunity in a supportive and friendly school? We are looking for a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant with proven school-based experience to join our committed team in East Grinstead from January 2025.
The Role:
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils in their learning across the curriculum, ensuring they remain engaged and make progress.
- Work closely with the class teacher to create a positive, stimulating classroom environment.
- Provide targeted support for individual pupils or small groups, including those with additional needs.
- Assist with preparing resources, setting up activities, and maintaining a well-organized learning space.
- Help foster a culture of enthusiasm, resilience, and positive behavior.
Requirements:
We are seeking a candidate who:
- Has school-based experience, ideally in KS2 (Key Stage 2).
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working well with children, staff, and parents.
- Is proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Is passionate about supporting children’s learning and well-being.
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Holds relevant qualifications or training in education (preferred but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
