ARE YOU A RELIABLE AND POSITIVE INDIVIDUAL WITH PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS A TEACHING ASSISTANT?

Teaching Personnel are actively recruiting for dedicated and professional individuals with a passion for supporting children's learning and development. We are in close partnership with an OFSTED rated "Outstanding" School in Coventry to find a teaching assistant to slot into their exceptional team of staff. The schools motto of "student first" is crucial to ensure the best outcomes for all children in the school.

 

Location: CV1

Pay Rate: £85-95 (per day, dependent upon experience)

Hours: Full Time

 

You will be required to provide specialised support on a 1:1 and small group basis, as well as supporting the class teacher in the main class. 

 

Required Qualifications:

- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (L1/2/3)

- Experience working as a teaching assistant within a UK secondary school 

- Experience supporting children in an educational setting

- Previous experience working with/supporting children with special educational needs

- Ability to use own initiative and work independently

- Enhanced DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain one)

 

Roles/Responsibilities:

- Support students within the classroom under the guidance of the main class teacher

- Provide specialist support and learning opportunities for students on a 1:1 and small group basis

- Provide extra support tailored to the individual needs of those pupils with special educational needs (SEN)

- Promote safeguarding principles at all times

- Communicate effectively with class teacher and other staff members across the wider school community

- Provide regular and informative feedback regarding pupils to the main class teacher and senior leadership team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
