Year 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Clitheroe
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Starting at £12.90 per hour
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school, employed through our trusted agency partner. This full-time position provides an excellent opportunity to support young learners and contribute to a supportive school environment. You will play a key role in helping students achieve their best, both academically and personally, while gaining valuable experience in the education sector.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Year 3 teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons
- Work with individual students or small groups to support their learning needs
- Assist with classroom management, promoting positive behaviour and engagement
- Prepare and organise materials and resources for lessons
- Foster a supportive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment for all students
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working with primary school children (preferably in Year 3 or similar age group)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working with children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions
- Basic knowledge of safeguarding practices (a valid DBS check will be required)
