KS1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Clitheroe
Pay Rate: Starting from £12.90 per hour
Employment Type: Temporary, Agency-Based

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a positive impact in their education? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Key Stage 1 (KS1) classroom in Clitheroe. This role, employed through an agency, offers the opportunity to support both the whole class and provide focused 1:1 support during the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Prepare resources, manage classroom behaviour, and support group activities to ensure an inclusive, positive learning environment.
  • 1:1 Support: Provide dedicated support for a child requiring additional assistance for a portion of the day. Tailor your approach to meet the child’s unique needs and promote their social and educational development.
  • Encouragement and Motivation: Build supportive relationships with children, encouraging their confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Monitoring and Feedback: Track student progress and communicate observations to the class teacher to support their individual learning plans.

About You:

  • Experience in a classroom setting, ideally within KS1, is preferred but not essential.
  • Passionate about working with young children and helping them succeed.
  • Patient, adaptable, and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
