We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Cardiff. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide one-on-one support to pupils with additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Help to create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Support pupils in their social and emotional development.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior support.
- Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other assistants.
- Participate in school events and activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- A relevant qualification in Education or Childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, BTEC).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- A proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.
- Basic understanding of child development and learning strategies.
- DBS clearance (Teaching Personnel can assist with the application process).
