Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Cardiff. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide one-on-one support to pupils with additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Help to create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Support pupils in their social and emotional development.
• Prepare classroom materials and resources.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support.
• Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other assistants.
• Participate in school events and activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• A relevant qualification in Education or Childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, BTEC).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• A proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.
• Basic understanding of child development and learning strategies.
• DBS clearance (Teaching Personnel can assist with the application process).
