Job description

ASC Teaching Assistant 

Monday - Friday, school hours, during term time

September 2024 until at least December 2024

We are currently looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Education needs for a Secondary school in South Cambridge.

 

The requirements are for a full time TA starting September 2024, the preferred applicant will have prior experience with young people or adults with Autism. The role will be until at least the end of the Autumn term, with the view to extend dependent on need.

For this role, we are are looking for a compassionate, professional, and driven individual. Experience of working with children, especially supporting pupils with SEN would be advantageous but is not essential.
What is most important to us is connecting those with a genuine passion for influencing young lives, with the opportunity to express it to their fullest potential.
The role calls for someone who is punctual, likes to incorporate their personality into their day to day role and takes on responsibility with a can-do attitude and a smile on their face!

The role will consist of the following duties:

  • Building a relationship with the young people you are working with
  • Helping to implement the Education Health Care plans for the young person or people 
  • Providing a safe and supportive environment the pupils to thrive in
  • Working with all necessary adults including, SLT , teachers, SENCo, parents and multi agencies where necessary

 

You will get access to our CPD academy where you can complete all the basics like Safeguarding in schools, and download learning materials for free. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
