**1-1 Teaching Assistants required in Bournemouth to support pupils with behaviour needs**

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work in our client school.

  • Full and Part Time hours available
  • £75-£95 per day
  • 1-1 Teaching Assistant
  • September start

The school is a Pupil Referral Unit in Bournemouth, catering for Secondary aged pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education. This includes pupils who are temporarily excluded, permanently excluded and pupils with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH). The pupils can display challenging behaviour.

As a 1-1 Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • engaging pupils in their education
  • liaising with the class teacher regarding work set for the lesson
  • providing emotional and behavioural support
  • reporting any safeguarding concerns to the designated safeguarding lead

Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for TA's who are resilient, confident with behaviour management and have a good sense of humour.

Experience working in a school isn't required, we would also welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in Youth Work, Sports Coaching, Military, Custodial Service and Residential Care.

We have full time (8.30-4 Mon-Fri) or part time (mornings only) roles available,  term time only. This is a temporary role in the first instance, however there is the potential for permanent employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
