Learning Support Assistant Opportunity – SEMH Primary School in Andover
Are you an experienced and resilient individual with a passion for supporting children’s learning and development? Teaching Personnel is seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) primary school in Andover. This rewarding role offers the chance to inspire and support young learners in a nurturing and dynamic environment.
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in the classroom, supporting children with SEMH needs to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing tailored one-on-one and small-group support to pupils.
- Assisting the teacher in delivering engaging, fun, and adaptable lessons.
- Encouraging positive behavior and fostering pupils’ social and emotional growth.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their individual needs.
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
This role begins on a temporary basis through Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent contract after a successful probation period.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
