Are you passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and achieve their full potential? Do you have the resilience and dedication to support pupils with extreme challenging behaviours? We are looking for a committed individual to join our team in a dynamic SEMH provision.

Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Location: SEMH Provision
Rate: £12.90 per hour
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Temp to perm for the right candidate

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in our SEMH provision, you will work closely with students facing extreme challenging behaviours, helping to remove barriers to their learning and supporting their personal development. You’ll play a key role in guiding students through their educational journey, encouraging positive behaviours, and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Implement behaviour strategies to manage and reduce challenging behaviours.
  • Work with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning plans.
  • Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and development.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs.
  • Be patient, resilient, and compassionate.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Have a proactive and flexible approach to managing challenging situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
