Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Location: SEMH Provision
Rate: £12.90 per hour
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Temp to perm for the right candidate
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in our SEMH provision, you will work closely with students facing extreme challenging behaviours, helping to remove barriers to their learning and supporting their personal development. You’ll play a key role in guiding students through their educational journey, encouraging positive behaviours, and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Implement behaviour strategies to manage and reduce challenging behaviours.
- Work with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning plans.
- Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and development.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Be patient, resilient, and compassionate.
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Have a proactive and flexible approach to managing challenging situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
