Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistants for Primary schools in the Accrington area, specifically in the BB5 postcode. This will be on an initially temporary basis, with the view to be made permanent.
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you would be required to:
- Assist the classroom teacher with delivery of lessons.
- Support pupils when required within a class of 28-31 pupils.
- Assist in the management of behaviour.
- Recognise gaps in learning.
- Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to provide extra support in the core subjects, Numeracy, Literacy and Phonics.
The ideal candidate must have a good work ethic, be positive, enthusiastic, work well with others and have a passion for pupils’ education. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
