Are you passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of students? Teaching Personnel is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Learning Support Assistants to work on a flexible basis in schools across Stockport. Role Overview:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide additional support to students who require assistance with their learning. This may involve working one-on-one with students, providing group support, or assisting with classroom activities. Your role will be crucial in helping to create an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or those requiring additional assistance.
  • Assist teachers with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to differentiate instruction and adapt learning materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as required.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the school, promoting a positive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student learning.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings and with students of varying abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
