Position: Teaching Assistant 
Location:Ellesmere Port/Chester 
Salary: £83 - £100 per day, dependant on experience  
Agency: Teaching Personnel (Liverpool Branch) 
Contract: Full-time, Part-time & Flexible Roles Available 
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role: 

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to provide high-quality support for students in secondary and SEN (Special Educational Needs) settings. Your role may include one-to-one support, small group work, and assisting students with a range of needs in order to create an inclusive and positive learning environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supporting the teacher in delivering engaging lessons 

  • Assisting students with their educational and social development 

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils who need additional help 

  • Supporting children with SEN (Special Educational Needs), where applicable 

  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour 

  • Encouraging positive learning and reinforcing classroom expectations 

What We're Looking For: 

  • Experience working with children (in school settings, care roles, youth work, etc.) 

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students 

  • Strong communication skills and a passion for education 

  • An understanding of SEN is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided 

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
