About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to provide high-quality support for students in secondary and SEN (Special Educational Needs) settings. Your role may include one-to-one support, small group work, and assisting students with a range of needs in order to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the teacher in delivering engaging lessons

Assisting students with their educational and social development

Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils who need additional help

Supporting children with SEN (Special Educational Needs), where applicable

Helping to manage classroom behaviour

Encouraging positive learning and reinforcing classroom expectations

What We're Looking For:

Experience working with children (in school settings, care roles, youth work, etc.)

A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students

Strong communication skills and a passion for education

An understanding of SEN is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
