Teaching Assistant Role – Supporting Children with Autism (ASD)
Location: Exeter and Surrounding Areas in Devon

We are seeking dedicated teaching assistants to join our team and provide essential classroom support to students with ASD. About the Role:
- Position: Teaching Assistant
- Location: Primarily Exeter, but we welcome applicants from across Devon
- Start Date: Immediate
- Commitment: Part-time and full-time positions available
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children with ASD in a classroom setting to ensure a comfortable and engaging learning environment.
- Working collaboratively with the classroom teacher to implement individualized support plans.
- Assisting students in developing social and communication skills to enhance classroom participation.
- Modifying activities and learning materials to meet each child’s unique needs.
- Building supportive relationships with students to foster their confidence and independence.

What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience working with children with ASD or SEN (Special Educational Needs) is highly beneficial.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to helping children succeed.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Strong communication skills for working with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills on the job.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
