Teacher of Welsh: Secondary
Location: Treforest, South Wales (Close to M4 Junction 32)
Salary: Pay to Spine Point on Teacher Pay Scale
Contract: Full-time, Long-term Temporary with Potential for Permanent Placement
Start Date: January 2025 (Exact date TBC)
Teaching Personnel is delighted to be recruiting for a Teacher of Welsh on behalf of one of our valued partner schools near Treforest, South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic educator to inspire students in their Welsh language journey throughout Key Stage 3 & 4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Welsh to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring every learner achieves their potential.
- Contribute to the development of the Welsh department’s curriculum and resources.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes the use of the Welsh language and culture.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the overall aims of the school.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. NQT’s are encouraged to apply.
- Experience teaching Welsh at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are strongly desired to ensure ease of travel to the school.
- Passion for the Welsh language and culture, with the ability to inspire the same in students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
