Science teacher needed for a Specialist  Needs School in Northfield from October 2024.

Days: Monday – Friday

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons adapted for students with SEN.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with SEN staff.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports diverse learning styles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student development.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) and relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a SEN environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
