A leading Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) with a strong reputation for fostering excellence in education is seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher of Social Science, with a specialism in Psychology, to join the permanent staff of one of its vibrant and improving secondary schools in Essex. This exciting opportunity is available from January 2025.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching of Social Science subjects, with a primary focus on Psychology, across KS4 and KS5.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative lesson plans to inspire a love of learning.
• Monitor and support student progress, ensuring the achievement of high academic standards.
• Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and departmental planning.
• Participate actively in the life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and community engagement.

Requirements

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Possess a degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Have experience teaching Psychology at KS4 and KS5 (A-Level experience is highly desirable).
• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a strong ability to engage students with varied abilities.
• Show a track record of raising student achievement and a commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
• Exhibit strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Be enthusiastic about working collaboratively as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
