Job description

Design Technology (DT) Teacher – Secondary School (Basingstoke)
Start Date: January 2024
Position: Full-time, Long-term

We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Design Technology (DT) Teacher to join a secondary school in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will teach across the age and attainment range at both Key Stage 3 and 4, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging DT lessons to students at KS3 and KS4
  • Prepare and deliver practical and theoretical lessons across a range of DT disciplines
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support development
  • Maintain a positive and safe learning environment in line with school policies

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified DT Teachers
  • ECTs (Early Career Teachers) who qualify this year are encouraged to apply
  • Unqualified teachers with relevant experience are also welcome to apply
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for DT
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
