About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated KS1 SEN Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic school team, working with young students in Key Stage 1 who have special educational needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s educational journeys, helping them to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, personalized lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning challenges.
- Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, SEN support staff, and external specialists to provide a holistic approach to learning.
- Create an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters emotional and academic growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and discuss strategies for continued support at home.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK (required).
- Previous experience teaching KS1 and/or SEN students (desirable but not essential).
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference in children’s lives.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Knowledge of SEN-specific teaching techniques and strategies is highly beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
