SEN Support Worker

Location: Kidderminster
Salary: £420 to £470 per week
Contract: Temporary to Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 3:30 pm)

Are you seeking a challenging role supporting vulnerable individuals on their educational journey?

Teaching Personnel is looking for an experienced support worker with a passion for aiding young people to join their team at an Ofsted 'Outstanding' SEN school. The successful candidate should be available full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm).

Our client school, located in Kidderminster, serves students aged 4 – 19 with severe and profound learning difficulties, including high levels of autism and complex medical needs. The school provides personalized support through Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) to help overcome learning challenges.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide additional support to students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Assist the teacher with general classroom and behavior management.
  • Handle personal care tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Valid full UK driving license.
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Experience working with children.
  • Experience with personal care.
  • Experience managing challenging behavior.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
