Job description

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will provide invaluable support to teachers and help create a positive learning environment for students.

We at Teaching Personnel are looking for passionate educators to make a difference in young lives. Enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants are required to work on a supply basis across primary in the Blandford Forum area, whether you have years of experience, or just starting your career in childcare, Teaching Personnel are keen to discuss these roles with you.

Working on a supply basis allows you to choose when and where you work. With weekly pay, free safeguard training and a supportive network within the school and from our recruitment consultants, becoming a supply teaching assistant is an excellent way to broaden your experience and your skill-set.

As the academic year has recently begun, long term roles and day to day needs from schools are increasing. We require dedicated individuals to fulfil these bookings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson preparation.
  • Support individual students or small groups with their learning activities.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Assist with the supervision of students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school trips.
  • Adapt quickly to new classroom environments and build positive relationships with students and staff.

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is preferred but not essential.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to various school settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
