About the Role

As a Primary School Teacher, you will:

  • Cultivate a secure and nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore and grow.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, fostering engagement and motivation.
  • Use effective written communication to record progress, summarise achievements, and provide meaningful observations of pupils’ development.
  • Help prepare pupils for a smooth and successful transition to secondary school.

The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate

  • Profound knowledge of the primary curriculum and its guidelines.
  • Proven ability to navigate school policies, particularly regarding health and safety and safeguarding.
  • A deep understanding of how National Curriculum test data supports teacher and school development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a flexible, differentiated teaching programme that meets the needs of all pupils.
  • Maintain engaging lesson structures that motivate and challenge students while promoting progress.
  • Utilise school assessment data to inform future lesson plans.
  • Set high expectations for behaviour and classroom management to maximise effective teaching.
  • Create and adapt learning resources to meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Support and monitor student progress, particularly during SATs preparation.
  • Establish effective communication with parents/guardians, sharing knowledge and insights about pupil progress.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to ensure all pupils’ needs are met.
  • Commit to your professional development by identifying opportunities for CPD courses.
  • Attend meetings, reviews, and training sessions in line with school policies.

Working Hours

  • Full-time hours (Minimum 8:30 am – 3:30 pm).
  • Additional hours may be required for staff meetings, inspections, and parent consultations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
