Supply Teacher
Job description
Are You Looking for Flexible Teaching Opportunities in York and Surrounding Areas?
Would you benefit from the flexibility of managing your own teaching work around current or expected commitments?
We are urgently seeking Primary Teachers in York and surrounding areas to work flexibly, either part-time or full-time, to suit their own availability in the schools and year groups of their choice!
About the Role
As our network of client schools continues to grow, we are in urgent need of talented Primary Teachers to provide flexible, short-term supply cover 2-5 days per week. Opportunities are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 at our partner schools in York and the surrounding areas.
Most of the work will be pre-booked, but you may occasionally be asked to be on standby for morning bookings between 7 and 9 am. While work is usually planned, we encourage educators to have a bank of resources for all year groups, just in case. Working across different schools, you will follow each school's policies, mark pupils' work, and leave handover notes for the returning class teacher.
For those seeking longer-term opportunities, we are often successful in securing placements at schools where you’ve worked temporarily. If your circumstances change and you no longer need flexibility, we can help you find your next perfect permanent role.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds UK QTS and has experience across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills.
- Is available for a minimum of 2 days per week.
- Has access to their own transport and is happy to travel up to 30 minutes for work placements.
