Supply Teacher

  1. Cover Supervisor
  2. Kent
Date posted : 26/11/24
  1. Flexible Working
£120 - 160 per day

Job description

Are you a teacher due to be available soon?

Are you looking for flexible, short-term work in secondary schools whilst you perhaps explore another career path or avenue?

Teaching Personnel are working with a number of the schools in the Tunbridge wells area and are therefore looking for fully qualified teachers for day-to-day short term teaching work. Working closely with schools in this area as well as building relationships with further schools, we have found our day-to-day demand for work increase significantly. Schools are finding themselves inundated with planned absences but also last minute reactive calls with sickness and so require supply teachers to go into school and cover for these absences. As a general supply teacher working through Teaching Personnel, you will benefit from regular day to day work in the areas of Tunbridge wells.

Highlights of the general supply teaching position:

• Pay range between £130 - £150 per day depending on school.
• Teach in a variety of outstanding and good Ofsted graded schools.
• Consistent teaching where schools often ask for the same teachers back providing continuity.
• Regular CPD opportunities with Teaching Personnel and access to an online diary and booking system providing full flexibility.

As a general supply teacher, you will have full flexibility over being available on a full time or part time basis. This role is ideal for qualified teachers of any experience looking for as much work as that which suits the individual's personal schedule.

This role is also ideal for teachers looking for an introduction to a longer term, more permanent position as we find general supply teaching can lead to a medium-term placement if applicable for the teacher.

Working with numerous secondary schools, we find that a lot of the general supply teaching work can come through on a day to day basis reactively receiving calls from schools first thing each morning. We also get a lot of proactive and pre-emptive calls where schools will book a general supply teacher in advance which can benefit those teachers looking to pre plan childcare and personal schedules.

For any further information please contact Sian at sian.morgan@teachingpersonnnel.com or call our Kent office on 01622 920703.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
