Job description

Do you have a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team on a supply basis around Salisbury!

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to provide support in primary schools across Salisbury. As an SEN TA, you will work with children with diverse needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and behavioral challenges, to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support tailored to the needs of SEN pupils.
  • Assist teachers in developing and implementing individualised learning plans.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, communicating effectively with staff and parents.
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings and build rapport with students and colleagues.

About You:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students or within an educational setting.
  • A patient, adaptable, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA or SEN certification) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
