Are you a Sports graduate looking for a part-time or full-time role in Education in November 2023 or sooner?
Full-time pay rate: £1540-£1700pcm
Working hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm, or similar
At Teaching Personnel, we are working closely with successful secondary schools and colleges across the Sunderland area with support staff vacancies. Many of our client schools have shown an interest in Sports graduates for these roles, as they often have an interest in young people's development, understanding the importance of physical and mental well-being. These type of roles provide the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a school setting for future career progression into teaching or working with children and young people.
The ideal Sports graduate will:
- Communicate effectively with other staff and students, monitoring developments and progress
- Be composed, sometimes managing challenging behaviour and situations
- Transfer skills and theory to a practical school environment and have a genuine interest - potentially considering a future career working with young people and/or SEMH
- Be a positive role model with a proactive and confident approach
- Work on a 1:1 basis with students who require additional support
- Provide general classroom support
- Be patient and understanding of the students’ needs and circumstances
- No prior experience required - just a willingness to get involved in the classroom setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
