Role: Sport Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working with Secondary Schools across South Wales, we are currently looking for a strong Sport Teaching Assistant to work and support children in class over a long-term basis utilising sport and sport techniques. Passionate people work well in these roles. The role would involve working as both classroom support, and on a 1:1 basis to ensure the selected pupils are supported and thriving in the educational environment. The role also involves supporting the pupils emotionally therefore patience and understanding is an important and key aspect of the role, along with promoting Physical exercise language.

Responsibilities

v  Supporting disengaged and/or challenged individuals.

v  Utilizing Sport methods

v  Identifying and observing beneficial behaviour methods  

v  Emotional support for the pupils, developing their personal and social skills to support them through and beyond the educational setting.

v  Promoting the Physical Exercise

Requirements:

v  EWC Registration

v  Enhanced DBS (child only) and registered with the Update Service (we will help with this process)

v  Right to work in the UK

v  Energetic, Enthusiastic, Forward thinking, Pro-active

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
