Sports Coach
- A full-time LSA required (8.30am-3.30pm)
- SEMH Provision in Skelmersdale.
- Long-term role available
- Start date: ASAP.
- End date: Ongoing basis.
- £11.85 - £12.33 p/h.
An SEMH Provision in Skelmersdale is looking for a full-time Learning Support Assistant with sports coaching experience/ background to add to the existing staff team. The school caters for boys and girls aged 11 – 16 with ASC and/or SEMH. The school anticipate new pupils starting in school therefore you may be required to provide 1:1 support for a new starter however you also may be utilised to provide general support within a class, this decision will be based on the successful applicants experience and confidence within this setting. Class sizes vary between generally 6-8 pupils and having effective LSAs within school is crucial to supporting the students appropriately.
The school are looking for an individual who is energetic and keen to commit to the school on a longer-term basis. Within this role, you will not necessarily be teaching sport however you will be expected to use your coaching skills/ sporting background to build rapport and develop relationships with the students. The school have commented that they are looking for an additional positive role model within school.
To be successful, you must:
Be available full-time (8.30am-3.30pm).
Have a sports coach background/ sporting experience.
Have experience supporting children/ young adults with additional needs.
