Job Title: Specialist Teaching Assistant

Job Duties:
- Provide support to teachers in delivering tailored learning activities for students
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning concepts
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Assist in the management of classroom behaviour and provide guidance to students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support the overall development of students
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Relevant teaching assistant qualification or experience
- Knowledge of special educational needs and experience working with students with diverse learning needs
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Previous experience as a teaching assistant or working with students with special educational needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support student learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher level teaching assistant qualification
- First aid training
Working Conditions:
- Work in a school setting with regular school hours
- May require occasional flexibility in working hours to accommodate meetings or events
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviour from students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
