Position: 1:1 Support Assistant
Location: Colne
Working Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Temp to perm
Start Date: September
About the Role:
We are seeking a 1:1 Support Assistant to provide dedicated support to a Key Stage 5 pupil in our trauma-informed school. You will work closely with the student to create a supportive and nurturing environment, ensuring they feel safe, understood, and empowered to achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a KS5 pupil on a 1:1 basis.
- Employ a trauma-informed approach to foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with academic tasks, emotional regulation, and social development.
- Build a trusting relationship with the pupil, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement individualized support plans.
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches.
- Excellent empathy, patience, and resilience.
- Experience working with young people, preferably within a school setting.
- Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with students.
- A commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
