Are you an experienced and passionate teacher with a commitment to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel, the UK's leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a Specialist SEN Teacher to join an outstanding SEN school in Hull.

About the Role:

As a Specialist SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching to pupils with a variety of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to the specific needs of your pupils
  • Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure all pupils reach their full potential
  • Working closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and other professionals to provide a holistic approach to learning
  • Managing classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers

About You:

We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate educator who is:

  • Experienced in teaching pupils with a range of SEN, ideally in a special school setting
  • Skilled in using a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage pupils with different learning styles and abilities
  • Qualified with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent, with a focus on SEN or inclusive education
  • Committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive
  • Strong in communication, collaboration, and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
