About the School:
Age Range: The school caters for students aged 3 to 19 who have a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Student Needs: A variety of needs, ranging from Autism, physical disabilities, challenging behaviours, and speech and language needs.
Location: Conveniently situated a short walk from the town centre, the school is easily accessible by car or public transport.
Class Sizes: We maintain small class sizes to ensure that lessons are accessible and tailored to all students' needs.
Responsibilities:
Experience: Ideally, you have experience working as a primary or secondary teacher supporting pupils with SEN. However, the school is willing to support your induction into SEN if you can demonstrate a passion for working with students with special educational needs.
Student Support: Work closely with a small group of pupils with special educational needs, providing direct, face-to-face support to those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Learning Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
Collaboration: Collaborate with staff members, other educational professionals, and parents to develop effective strategies for student success.
Other things to consider:
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
Pay starting from £157.66 per day (as per the national framework for Wales).
Qualifications required: Degree with QTS, PGCE with QTS or equivalent for UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
