Salary: £835 - £95
Are you passionate about supporting students with sensory impairments or special educational needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate Sensory Support Assistants to work in schools, providing vital support to students who require additional help to thrive in their educational environment.
Your Role:
As a Sensory Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and group support for students with sensory needs.
- Adapt learning materials and classroom environments to support sensory accessibility.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and sensory strategies.
- Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere in the classroom.
- Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure each child’s needs are met effectively.
What We’re Looking For:
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- Experience working with children with sensory impairments or special needs (desirable).
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of sensory strategies or willingness to undertake training.
- A valid DBS certificate or willingness to complete a DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
