SEN Teaching Assistant – Bedale (DL8)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant SEN school in Bedale. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with a diverse range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including but not limited to, complex needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), etc. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs. This would be to start in the Autumn Term and will likely be for the full academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support and assistance to pupils with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of pupils.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and child welfare at all times.

Requirements:

  • Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
  • Register with Teaching Personnel prior to starting.
  • Provide references covering the past 24 months of employment history.
  • Possess a UK Right to Work document.
  • Candidates with experience working in or studying Education, Health and/or Social Care are encouraged to apply, as they will have the knowledge essential to support children with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
