Join Our Team as a Resource Base Lead for ASC Students

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)? We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Resource Base Lead for a specialist centre catering to students aged 11-16 with ASC.

About the Role:

As the Resource Base Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the educational journey of students who are able to access mainstream classes 80% of the time. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating daily timetables for students to ensure seamless integration with mainstream classes.
  • Setting and monitoring targets in line with each student's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Teaching social language and communication groups to enhance students' interaction skills.
  • Supporting wider needs across the school and ensuring a holistic approach to each student's development.
  • Liaising with families to provide ongoing support and updates on student progress.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, working with students who have ASC.
  • In-depth knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • Relevant qualifications in SEND, Child Development, or Psychology.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to coordinate complex schedules.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with families and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
