Teaching Personnel are currently seeking experienced teachers/tutors to provide 1:1 tuition in Derbyshire and the surrounding areas. As a 1:1 tutor you will be planning and implementing catch up programmes in 1 or more core subjects to pupils who are not currently accessing education. Most of these young people will have varied SEND & SEMH needs that present as a barrier to their learning.
We have seen an increase in tuition requests to support pupils working at a Primary curriculum level and specialists within these fields would be beneficial to fulfil current demand. However, we do receive tuition requests for KS3 and KS4 pupils so welcome applicants from both backgrounds.
You are able to accept as much or as little work as you desire, and this role is ideal for those seeking flexibility.
To be successful you will need:
- Experience with primary or secondary aged children
- Enthusiastic, engaging, and resilient
It is desirable if you:
- Have experience working with children in a tuition capacity
- Have experience working with challenging behaviour
- Have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs or a willingness to learn

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
