Teaching Personnel is the leading Education Agency, working closely with an SEN school in North Cornwall to help staff them with temporary and permanent SEN teaching assistants. The school is looking for permanent members of staff to join their thriving and team of teaching assistants to help students with additional learning requirements.
This role is based on a temp-to-hire process, and all applicants will have to undergo an interview from the school.
The salary available is £12.90 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a students with a range of special needs, learning support and behavioural needs
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Implement strategies to promote the student's social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the student's progress and well-being.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students or young people with special needs is essential.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt and differentiate teaching strategies to meet the student's unique requirements.
- Flexibility and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
