Salary: £85 - £100 (Based on experience and pay scale)

About the role and school

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN) and those with disabilities?

Teaching Personnel are looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a well-recognised SEN school in the Wirral. This role is perfect for individuals who are committed to supporting students with SEN needs, assisting them so they can reach their full potential. This role covers both SEN KS2 + KS3 classes and successful candidates will be required to work with all age groups.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning plans and strategies in order to benefit the students.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment whilst supporting students with their academic, social and emotional development.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility support where necessary.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS cleared & uploaded to the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Full right to work within the UK.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A relevant qualification that links to the role (SEN training) is preferred.
  • Patience, empathy and a proactive approach to supporting those with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
