SEN Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping students with special educational needs excel in Maths. The incoming TA will have the skills and dedication to provide tailored numeracy support to pupils with a range of abilities, from those with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) to those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
Position Overview:
As a Numeracy Intervention Teaching Assistant at this Secondary SEN School in York, you will work closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small, mixed-year groups, tailoring your support to specific abilities and needs. This role offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young learners who require extra support.
Key Details:
- Salary: £83.85+ per day through PAYE (no umbrella company or agency fees), paid weekly.
- Location: This school is easily accessible via public transport and offers on-site parking for those who drive.
- Working Hours: This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, providing consistency for both you and the students you support.
- Payment Basis: You will be paid on a timesheet basis through Teaching Personnel, ensuring a straightforward payroll process.
- September Start: There is an immediate start available following registration with Teaching Personnel.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Maths Graduates: Candidates with a background in mathematics are preferred, as your subject knowledge will be a valuable asset in supporting students effectively.
- Experienced Teaching Assistants: Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in SEN or numeracy intervention roles, will be highly advantageous.
