SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Position
Are you passionate about making a difference in students' lives? A rewarding opportunity has opened up at an Ofsted "good" secondary school in WN4, that includes a Specialist Resource Base for students with additional learning needs.
Key Details:
- Immediate start for a Full-Time Behaviour Support Assistant
- Initial contract: 1 term, with potential for an extension based on performance and funding
- Competitive Salary: Earn up to £95 per day
- Working Environment: Support students aged 11-16 both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to promote positive behavior and engagement
- Experience: Prior experience working with pupils who have additional learning needs or who display challenging behavior is highly desirable
The Role:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with the school's Specialist Resource Base, providing focused support to students who may struggle to engage in mainstream classrooms. Your primary responsibility will be working 1:1 with pupils in KS3/4, ensuring they stay on task and helping them engage positively with their work.
You will be a positive role model, fostering strong relationships and supporting the pastoral care of students. Your role will also involve creating a supportive and structured environment where all students can succeed, particularly those with specific needs.

- Location: The school is easily accessible from Wigan, Leigh, and Bolton.
- Supportive Environment: The school is larger than average, with over 900 students, and offers a nurturing environment where students with special educational needs or disabilities make good progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
