Role: 1:1 Behavioural Support Staff
Location: Wellingborough NN8
Job Type: Temporary - Permanent
Salary: £85 - £90 Per day
We are looking for a full time 1:1 Behavioural Support Staff to support in a SEN Primary/Secondary School based in Wellingborough starting in January 2025. Please see details below
This school are dedicated to providing excellent education and support for children and young people aged 2 to 19 with severe and complex learning difficulties and health, and care needs.
Job Duties:
- Supporting class Senior LSA’s and Teachers with the preparation of resources to meet the personalised learning intentions of allocated students.
- Providing 1:1 support under the supervision of the class Teacher for the delivery of skills-based learning.
- Work closely with class Teacher to report on progress using an evidence-based approach
- To enable students to learn by; understanding their learning goals and targets; enable them to practice and learn new skills and challenge them to be as independent as possible
- To be involved in the provision of all aspects of support necessary that will ensure the students wellbeing and ability to function and engage in learning.
- To understand and fully implement Safeguarding policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
Experience:
Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting would be ideal but not necessary. This role comes with additional responsibilities to that of a 1:1 Behavioural Support Staff.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Initiative to take proactive actions
- Organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently
- Prioritisation skills to handle multiple responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
