SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant on behalf of a school based in Twickenham.
The successful candidate, whilst working under the supervision of a qualified teacher, must be able to take initiative within small group classrooms of pupils with a variety of special educational needs.
The role is full time, starting in September, and will be required up until October half term. For the right candidate this role may be extended if you wish to stay on at the school.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children with SEND and also of working across different key stages, this can be within an educational or non educational setting.
You must be confident in joining the school and hitting the ground running, relationship building with the pupils is key and whilst you will have extensive support from staff members in school you will be required to get stuck in!
Essentials:
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service (Or willing to apply for one through ourselves)
- Eligible to work in the UK (right to work in the UK documentation).
- Recent experience within an SEND classroom is desirable but not essential
- Level 2 Qualification or Higher in relevant area (Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Early Childhood studies, Nursery Diploma, Childcare etc.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
