Teaching personnel are looking for teaching assistants and learning support assistants and education/ health care support to work in a fast paced and exciting SEN school in Totnes. This role is to start as soon as possible with working hours Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm.
This school is educates children from EYFS through to Post 16, they have excellent facilities to aid each childs education and social interactions. You’ll access learning and take part in a wide range of activities both in and outside of the school site. This is a perfect opportunity to gain significant experience within a pivotal educational setting.
Role Responsibilities:
- Working with children in the classroom and in the surrounding community helping them access education
- Collaboratively working with other support assistants and teachers to deliver fulfilling educational sessions
- Supporting students reach their potential through small groups and 1:1 sessions - children in the setting have moderate to severe learning difficulties
Required Skills:
- Proactive member of staff able to think on their feet
- Experience working with SEMH needs
- Work well in a team
- Patience, empathy and positivity
- Previous experience in youth work, health care, hospital schools

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38 plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
