Job Description:
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school located in Dukinfield, Tameside. This position is temporary and will commence immediately, running through until the Christmas break.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
- Provide encouragement and support to help pupils achieve their learning objectives.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within SEN settings.
- A passion for working with children and supporting their educational and emotional development.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
