Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Solihull, West Midlands

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support and assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Implement individualised learning plans and strategies as directed by the class teacher
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support for SEN students
  • Support students with personal care needs if required

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with SEN students in an educational setting
  • Good understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Experience:

Prior experience working with SEN students in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or qualifications in specific areas of SEN support
  • Experience working with a range of SEN conditions

Working Conditions:

  • Temporary position with full-time hours
  • Work within a school environment
  • May involve assisting with personal care needs of students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
