Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals who have transferable experience to excel in our schools across Cornwall. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with behavioural challenges, helping them develop essential life skills and overcome obstacles. Provide one-on-one support to individuals, use your experience to create engaging and therapeutic activities, and assist individuals in developing social, communication, and problem-solving skills.

 

Working through Teaching Personnel allows you to choose how many days you will work, which Schools you most would like to work within, how far you will travel and much more.... 

 

Desirable,but not mandatory skills include: 

  • A passion for working with individuals with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A commitment to promoting independence and personal growth.

 

Previous transferable experience is essential, including (but not limited to):

  • Psychology
  • Mentoring
  • SEN
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Sports Coaching, Activity Instructors, lifeguards etc
  • Team Teach, CPI or other techniques
  • Support or care work
  • Youth or Offender support
  • Family or Social services
  • Teaching/Learning Support Assistance
  • Counseling

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
