About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism in a Cardiff-based SEN Primary School. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with additional needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to provide tailored support that enhances the educational experience for students with Autism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with Autism.
- Support students in developing their social skills and emotional well-being.
- Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and contribute to ongoing assessments.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to enhance students' learning experiences.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with Autism and special educational needs is desirable.
- A compassionate and patient attitude with a commitment to making a difference in students' lives.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
