Job description

Job Title: Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Quiddenham, Norwich

Salary: £21,000 - £22,400 per annum (Term time only)

Contract: Full time, Permanent

 

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce are currently partnered with a UK wide SEN Trust, who are currently looking to bring in a number of SEN Teaching Assistants at their campus located in Quiddenham, Norwich. Due to the continued expansion of the Trust, we are requiring 3 Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistants to join from September 2024 or sooner. Working with students aged 11 - 16 years old in small classes of up to 10 students per lesson, you will be working with students who suffer with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, whilst other may be on the autistic spectrum.

 

Key Duties:

  • To establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils in order to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the School.
  • To promote and encourage independence and personal development in pupils and maintain high expectations of behaviour at all times.
  • To contribute to providing high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and experiences through supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aiming at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning.
  • Support the Class Teacher in all areas of the day to day running of the class.

 

Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent is essential.
  • Level 2 - 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards).
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of pupils with SEMH, ASD.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
