A specialist secondary school in North Manchester is looking for Teaching Assistants to give support to small groups of students.

You will be working on either a 1:1 or 1:2 basis to help students with additional needs to progress with both academic and social aspects of their school life.

The school itself has specialised and experience staff that work with ages 11-19. The school works alongside a sixth form to provide functional qualifications for older students so that they have a wide range of life skills.

For this role, you should:

  • Have school experience working within a support or teaching assistant role
  • Have experience working with SEN students, preferably those with ASC
  • Have a Team Teach qualification or have experience working with young people that display challenging behaviour
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent communication, both between you and staff and you and students
  • Be flexible in the way that you work, both in and out of the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
