Behavioural Support Worker – Full Time
Start Date: 8th January, 2024
Hours: Full-Time, 35 Hours per week, Monday-Friday
Rate of Pay: £85-£100 a day - Depending on Experience
An independant school in Central London (Holborn) are currently looking to hire somebody to provide one-to-one support to for students with SEMH.
The role will revolve mainly around providing nurture and intervention support, as the pupil has diagnosed mental health conditions, and will need a calm and empathetic individual to support him in a new bustling environment.
The average day will include helping the teacher create engaging lesson plans, providing emotional support and managing aspects of challenging behaviour, as well as outdoor and extra-curricular activities.
The position will start on a temporary basis, before a permanent contract offer is made with the local authority in time for the Easter Holidays.
The successful candidate will have one or more of the following:
- Previous experience working with individuals who have exhibited challenging behaviours.
- Prior experience working with individuals with diagnosed mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety.
- Experience working with children or young adults
- Prior work in the care, health or support sectors
Requirements for this post:
- The right to work in the United Kingdom
- Two referees from the last ten years
- At least six months’ relevant experience – please see the list above OR experience supporting childre with SEN
- All applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check, as well as registering with the Education Workforce Council

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
